Thallus forming rosettes to 4 cm wide, rather loosely attached. Lobes discrete to subimbricate, to 6 mm wide with sinuous, slightly thickened, subascending, entire to delicately incised margins which become sorediate. Soralia marginal, ±sinuous, linear to limbiform, bluish. Upper surface ±uniformly cobwebby-tomentose, dark blue-green when wet, pale greyish when dry. Lower surface white at margins, buff centrally with bundles of white to bluish rhizohyphae. Apothecia very rarely developed, usually only seen as pinkish initials. | ||
Occurs in Qld in rainforest and rarely in N.S.W. and Tas., on bark; also in New Zealand. | ||
